Cop City – a name given to the Public Safety Training Centre of Atlanta. The centre mainly focuses on the police and firefighters training and has been opposed due to environmental destruction and police militarization that it may apply. The centre is located on 85 acres of land and has funding of about $90 – $118 million from public and corporate donations both.

  • Civil Disobedience – They also engaged themselves in non violent ways to stop the movement that included blocking sites, entrances etc. Some were also seen wrapping themselves to equipment , so that the facility stops the construction.
  • Pressure Campaigns – Activists used social media, calls and campaigns to stop the project participators.
  • Community Activities – They organised public gatherings, offered food assistance and lectured the locals on the importance of the environment to help foster support to stop the centre from being built.
